What You'll Learn

Our AHCMOM216 – Operate side by side utility vehicles course develops the practical skills and knowledge required to safely prepare, operate and shut down a side-by-side utility vehicle in a range of operating conditions.

During this course, you will learn how to:

• Plan and prepare for side-by-side utility vehicle operations, including identifying hazards and applying appropriate risk controls.
• Conduct pre-start checks and inspect the vehicle, safety equipment and controls before operation.
• Assess terrain and operating conditions and select appropriate driving techniques.
• Operate a side-by-side utility vehicle safely, including steering, braking, manoeuvring and negotiating different terrain.
• Operate safely on slopes, inclines and uneven terrain within vehicle and site limitations.
• Park, shut down and secure the vehicle correctly.
• Complete post-operational checks and report faults or defects.
